Because we care about pets, we have created Pet Savvy to help you by offering ideas, insight and other areas to promote the health and welfare of pets.

We have proven that by working together, recycling and everyone doing their part, we can decrease Euthanasia, Stray and Lost Pets, Neglect and Animal Abuse, and to increase Adoption, Compliance and the overall health and welfare of pets.

Not only does your pet(s) need his/her physical aspect of health maintained, he/she needs its mental and emotional aspect of his/her health maintained. The latter is so often overlooked. Some people only look at the physical and don't see that the mental and emotional part of what the he/she needs. Those needs of pets also need to be considered for total wellness.

Agility:

Agility strengthens the bond between dogs and handlers, it is extremely fun, and it provides vigorous exercise for both!

Cool Dogs:

Keep your dog cool in the car by putting ice packs in his crate. Make sure the crate is well ventilated. NEVER LEAVE YOUR PETS ALONE IN THE CAR EVEN FOR A FEW MINUTES!! This is to keep dogs cool while traveling with you.

Dental Hygiene:

Good dental hygiene can play an important role in keeping your dog(s) and horse(s) in top form. Clean your dog's teeth and check his gums regularly. When your vet comes out for check ups or administer vaccinations on your horse make sure he/she checks the teeth!

Lula, Kathryn's Border Collie Mix, Says "I'm Hungry"

_Kathryn's dog Lula every afternoon goes to her "Hungry Spot" about 10 minutes before feeding time and announces "I'm Hungry". Kathryn has a certain spot in the kitchen she has the girls sit and wait for her to serve their bowls. They don't touch it until she says "okay". It's cool having feeding manners!
